CHILD CARE ANSWERS PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT
Child Care Answers provides a wide variety of professional development (PD) options, and most are available for free. You can choose from a range of topics and settings. Our staff delivers face-to-face sessions and live webinars.
We offer sessions at a variety of locations across Central Indiana. View our professional development calendar to find dates and times that work for your schedule. Once you find a session that interests you, fill out our online registration form or call our office at (800) 272-2937.
Do you have a great space to host a session?
We are always looking for hosts for both our general and CDA face-to-face sessions! We teach sessions during the day, evening, and weekends and need safe and professional locations to hold them. If your space has appropriate seating for adult learners and parking (technology is a bonus!), fill out our form indicating your willingness to host. We will contact you when we have a session that is just the right fit for your location.
PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT AT YOUR PROGRAM
You may request professional development sessions at your facility or child care home by request. Please fill out our Onsite Request Form to start the process and request training with one of our Professional Development Specialists.
CHILD DEVELOPMENT ASSOCIATE (CDA) CREDENTIAL
Child Care Answers also offers support and professional development to help you attain your Child Development Associate (CDA) credential.
CHILD CARE AWARE® OF AMERICA TRAINING ACADEMY
Child Care Aware® of America (CCAoA) Training Academy offers online professional development for a fee. These courses are designed to help you complete annual professional development requirements and acquire required professional development hours for CDA credential renewal or in-service professional development.
INDIANA ASSOCIATION FOR THE EDUCATION OF YOUNG CHILDREN (INDIANA AEYC)
Indiana AEYC is a statewide organization that provides members with access to conferences and professional development opportunities. Indiana AEYC coordinates the T.E.A.C.H. scholarship program, which can provide financial support for child care providers pursuing a CDA credential, associate’s degree, or bachelor’s degree.

Partnerships for Early Learners is committed to quality opportunities for young learners – and the professionals who support them. An investment in the adults most present in young people’s lives – families and educators – is an investment in the future. Connect with Partnerships for Early Learners to find professional development and conferences that build your skills, pursue a degree or credential program, and update your program listing to connect with more families seeking care.
Training Central gives you access to free online professional development, designed for providers across Indiana. In the “Trainings” tab, sessions are recorded and available 24/7. The “Webinars” tab allows you to register for live, interactive sessions led by our staff. Registration requires an account. THE INDIANA ACADEMY OF OUT-OF-SCHOOL LEARNING CATALOG
COLLEGES AND UNIVERSITIES
Various local colleges and universities offer programs where you can advance your education. You can enroll in associate’s degree instruction at Ivy Tech Community College , and some classes have transfer tracks to Ball State University’s bachelor’s degree program and IUPUI’s master’s degree in Early Childhood Education. You may also find distance learning or blended courses from other accredited colleges offering associate’s or bachelor’s degrees to fit your needs.
