Children with Special Needs
Child Care Answers delivers support as a part of the Indiana Partnership for Inclusive Child Care (IPICC) project. We offer individualized consultations and onsite technical assistance to programs. We can also help adapt and modify toys, materials, and classroom environments to accommodate specific special needs.
We also offer specialized trainings for you or your staff on special needs issues and a variety of early childhood topics.

Our specialists are available to visit you at your program to provide additional suggestions and assistance, based on your situation.
Infants and Toddlers
We are proud to promote the healthy development of babies, toddlers, and their families. Our Infant and Toddler Specialists, Lauren George and Katherine Darby offer providers consultation services and resources. They also provide trainings focusing on healthy care and development for infants and toddlers.
Preschool and Pre-K
Our Early Childhood Development Specialist, Cori Newland, is available to help you stop big problems before they start, meeting the social-emotional needs of children in your classroom. We can focus on modeling, coaching, and providing other techniques to provide support when you need it.
Our School-Age Specialist, Jenny Mathis, supports providers of school-age programs. She provides on-site training and observation, through which she can model best practices and help you to develop action plans. Jenny is also available to help support your Paths to QUALITY™ level advancement. Finally, she can connect you to additional resources and training.
Paths to QUALITY™
Each Paths to QUALITY™ child care provider can partner with a coach from Child Care Answers. Your coach will guide you through the process of joining the program and support you as you advance through the program. Take your next step by contacting our Coach Coordinator, Tikila Welch. Tikila will set up an introductory meeting to get you started in advancing your program quality.
Services in Spanish
Our Bilingual Support Manager, Lucy Intriago, offers a variety of services for professionals in Spanish. This includes training and technical assistance, including Orientation I and II, as well as coaching for Paths to QUALITY™ providers and registered ministries. Lucy also provides support services for providers with children with special needs, infants, toddlers, and those who participate in the food program (CACFP) for licensed child care homes.
On My Way Pre-K Scholarship Programs
They also provide support to current On My Way Pre-K providers. This includes help with tracking attendance, ISTAR-KR, family engagement, and child enrollment, as well as any other program assistance that you may need.
Marla also provides support to Marion County programs interested in serving 3-year-olds as part of the Indy Preschool Scholarship Program.
