Opening a New Child Care Program

We’re here to help you on your road to success as a child care business owner. We’ll not only give you the tools and training to get licensed, but we’ll also provide support to help you set up and sustain a healthy business. Our Program Engagement Specialists, Michelle and Lucy, can help you along the way.

Help Sessions

We offer help sessions at our office every other week. These are open-house style opportunities for you to chat one-on-one with our Program Engagement staff. We’ll be available to answer questions about I-LEAD, the documentation required for your application, consent forms, or anything else that might help you feel more comfortable as you’re starting your business.

Next Steps to Get Licensed

Your path to success might look a little different, depending on whether you want to open a family child care home, a licensed center, or a unlicensed registered ministry.

I-LEAD and Indiana Learning Paths Support

Child care providers began using I-LEAD in Summer 2019 as a way to manage licensing paperwork, background checks and updated program information. This new platform gives child care leaders a one-stop-shop for essential services, including access to Indiana Learning Paths, a new online learning system that connects you with webinars, interactive learning session and other learning opportunities that align with licensing and Paths to QUALITY.
