Child and Adult Care Food Program

Child Care Answers offers a cash reimbursement for providers who serve nutritious meals and snacks

CACFP is a federally funded program offered by the USDA and coordinated through the Indiana Department of Education. There is no fee to participate in this program. Child Care Answers is a sponsor for licensed homes or exempt homes which accept CCDF vouchers in Bartholomew, Brown, Hamilton, Hancock, Hendricks, Johnson, Madison, Marion, and Morgan counties.

The agency’s CACFP monitors, Molly Manley and Emily Barrow, can assist members of the CACFP program in Central Indiana. Molly and Emily can assist you as you begin your journey in the food program. They can also answer questions throughout your time in the program.

New providers are required to complete their Orientation coursework through an online tool called Schoology. You will receive an email with specific instructions on how to sign up once you schedule your pre-approval appointment.

Annual Training Requirement

All providers enrolled in Child Care Answers CACFP are required to complete six hours of annual training, plus civil rights training every contract year. Trainings are offered both online and in-person. You and your entire staff must complete civil rights training.  Your CACFP monitor will send you additional information when this year’s training is available.
