Child and Adult Care Food Program

Child Care Answers CACFP services no longer available after September 30, 2018.

CACFP is a federally funded program offered by the USDA and coordinated through the Indiana Department of Education. There is no fee to participate in this program.

After nearly 30 years as a Child and Adult Care Food Program sponsor, Child Care Answers has made the decision to no longer provide this service. We are sincerely grateful that you have allowed our food monitors to come into your early childhood programs to work with you over the years.

The final day to provide this service is September 30, 2018. You will still be able to claim and access our food monitors until the September claim is processed. You will need to select another CACFP sponsor from the list of food sponsors; Early Learning Indiana will be removed from the list after September 30.  Once you choose a new sponsor, complete the Change of Sponsor form that is due no to the state agency by September 15.

The agency’s CACFP monitors, Molly Manley and Emily Barrow, can assist members of the CACFP program in Central Indiana through the September 30 deadline.

Annual Training Requirement

All providers enrolled in Child Care Answers CACFP are required to complete six hours of annual training, plus civil rights training every contract year. Trainings are offered both online and in-person. You and your entire staff must complete civil rights training.  Your CACFP monitor will send you additional information when this year’s training is available.
